Powerhouse continued to fly the flag for Jersey at a number of national retailer awards and has been recognised as exceptional by three major retail industry organisations.

PCR, the leading magazine and website for all computer and IT resellers, retailers, distributors and vendors awarded Powerhouse Best Independent Retailer 2020. ERT, which has been a top business title for the electrical retail industry for 130 years, voted Powerhouse 'Best Independent Consumer Electronics Retailer 2020' and IER – Innovative Electrical Retailing Awards recognised the store as 'Best Independent Retailer Superstore Showroom 2020’.

Together the three awards are virtually a clean sweep of industry recognition. Gavin Murphy our Head of Retail, explained why the awards are important, “Of course, it’s our customers that are our focus, what they want from a store is continually evolving and I think what sets Powerhouse apart is that we strive not just to keep pace with this, but to stay ahead of it. We are always looking for ways to improve and make sure that Powerhouse customers have the best retail experience possible. However, as discerning as our customers are, they can only judge the store from direct experience. What the awards do look is to hold us up against industry benchmarks and against other retailers across the UK, so to come out as top of those is a major achievement and one we are very proud of”.
