Installation and Disposal Services

We’ll take the strain on the day we deliver by getting your new appliance set up and running. We will also dispose of your old appliance should you wish, ensuring it is taken away to be recycled.

Our installation service for freestanding appliances operates Monday to Saturday in line with our free delivery service, subject to availability.

We are able to fit and install integrated appliances, however please note that this service is limited to Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and carried out by a third party.

Laundry Appliance

Installation

We’ll connect your appliance to the water and waste pipes, switch it on and test the machine. We'll ensure that there are no leaks and that the appliance is level and fully operational.

Before we arrive please ensure that

• Your waste pipe, water supply and electricity connections are no more than 1m away from where the appliance will be
• Your new appliance will fit in your chosen location and access is clear
• You have an existing vent duct if purchasing a vented tumble dryer
• For built in appliance installations, your kitchen units are able to house the new appliance (any required modifications will need to be arranged at the point of purchase and will incur an additional charge)

Cooking Appliance

Installation

If freestanding we'll disconnect your old cooker, connect your new one and give you a basic product demonstration. If built in we require your old oven to be disconnected and removed prior to us installing and connecting your new one. Our delivery team cannot install range cookers, however we can arrange for a JEBS electrician to do this for an additional charge.

Before we arrive please ensure that

• There is suitable electric supply within 1m of your chosen location
• Your new appliance will fit in your chosen location and access is clear
• If purchasing a built in oven, your old appliance has been disconnected prior to our arrival
• For built in appliance installations, your kitchen units are able to house the new appliance (any required modifications will need to be arranged at the point of purchase and will incur an additional charge)
• If purchasing a range cooker, you have completed and returned a Jersey Electricity ESE form prior to purchase (this can be obtained in store or online at www.jec.co.uk)
• Your old range cooker has been disconnected should you wish for us to take it away for disposal

Refrigeration Appliance

Installation

We'll plug in and set up your new appliance in your chosen location. If you would like the doors to be reversed on your new appliance please inform us at the point of purchase, as this is done prior to delivery.

Before we arrive please ensure that

• There is suitable electric supply within 1m of your chosen location
• Your new appliance will fit in your chosen location and access is clear
• There is space for a gap of at least 25mm at the top, back and sides of your new appliance, to allow for ventilation
• For built in installations, your kitchen units are able to house the new appliance (any required modifications will need to be arranged at the point of purchase and will incur an additional charge)

*There must be a suitable pre-existing plumbing point in place for the appliance inlet valve to be connected to. Our installation team are unable to facilitate any additional plumbing work.

TV

TV Set-up

We will disconnect an old TV, connect and set up your new one and provide a quick demonstration of the main features. If it is a Smart TV we will connect it to your existing network (you will need an internet connection and your new TV will either need to have built-in WiFi or a compatible dongle).

TV Stand and TV Cabinets Assemble

If you have purchased a TV stand/cabinet from us we will assemble this.

TV Wall Mounting Service

This Service will include the following:

• Delivery of the New purchased TV and wall mount
• Unpack & securely fit TV wall bracket to the customer's wall (TV wall mount must be purchased from The Powerhouse)
• Supply & fit trunking (if requested) to neatly run cables along the customer's wall.

Before we arrive please ensure that

• There is a suitable electric supply within 1m of your chosen location
• Access to your chosen location is clear
• You have any necessary cables required for installation (HDMI, Optical, etc.)
